We each arrived at our respective hosts September 17th, and because of our varied arrival time we had small group Cottage Dinners that evening. It was actually great to have a small intimate group where we could have conversation and get to know just a few at a time.
Day one: We all went to the Cleveland Museum of Art for a docent-led tour. There was a list of possible activities for our afternoon activity. Our host and the two of us from Huntsville chose to visit the Historical Lake View Cemetery.
That evening, we attended the Welcome Dinner at Li Wah Asian restaurant.
Day two: Sunday Brunch Sightseeing Cruise on Nautica Queen.
Again, in the afternoon, we had free time with our hosts.
Day three: Private walking tour of Historical & Architectural Euclid Ave.
After the walking tour and having lunch the Famous Heinen’s Market we were treated to a Funny Bus Sightseeing Tour of downtown Cleveland. There was live entertainment on the bus which made for a fun time. That evening we took our host out for dinner. We had a wonderful time.
Day four: Everyone enjoyed our time at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
That evening a group of us visited the Asian Lantern Festival and the Botanical Garden.
Day five: We all visited the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center with a guided tour of a barn and school. The evening was the Farewell Dinner and a member’s home.
Day six: We departed for home after having a fun-filled time with our new friends and our Huntsville members. I’m ready to go again!
